This is me holding on top of Calton Hill in Edinburgh holding a magazine. It’s not just any magazine though, it’s a copy of My Favo(u)rite Magazine.
When New York based magazine art director Robert (Bob) Newman suffered a head injury, he lay in a coma for weeks. With hospital bills mounting, friends Jeremy Leslie and Andrew Losowsky called on other magazine art directors around the world to lend their support. The idea was to create a publication based around contributors’ favourite magazines – and so the My Favo(u)rite Magazine project was born. A compilation of 88 editors’, art directors’ and enthusiasts’ favourite magazines, from The Face to Metropolis, it’s a must-have for anyone who loves mags. And the money raised from its sale helps to get Robert Newman back on his feet. Buy your copy here, and add your own photo to the gallery of other readers around the world.
